At our house, this seems to be the year of the pumpkin. Hannah has had fun tending to her tiny pumpkin patch this summer and has begun harvesting. Orange ones. Big ones and little.
Gray ones and warty ones.
Her wish for this month included a visit to a pumpkin patch.
So we made the drive to Treworgy Farms and spent a lovely afternoon wandering the fields in search of THE pumpkin.
This farm will be packed tomorrow, but on this Friday we practically had the fields to ourselves.
Why we need more pumpkins, I do not know. But I enjoyed the search.
And a couple of these white ones made the trip home with us.
There’s something about a pumpkin–a symbol of the changing season. As the days grow shorter and the temps cooler, it’s a season of nostalgia, inviting us to slow down, to reflect on the fleeting moments that shape our stories, and to cherish the simple joys of life. Which is what we did today. 😊
I love pumpkins, no matter how many I have, I still need more! Your pictures are always so beautiful and the description you give in the last paragraph is perfect. Time has seemed to fly by this year. I’m looking forward to having a cozy crafting filled winter.
