Our last day in Pennsylvania, we ventured down to Chambersburg for a peek at a sunflower farm. I’ve had my fingers crossed that the weather would cooperate after a mostly rainy week. From a mile away down the road, we could see the ocean of yellow. It was amazing! If you live in the Central PA area, be sure to visit Lesher Poultry Farm Sunflower Fields.
An overachiever sunflower. (Photo credit Hannah.)
It’s easy to feel happy surrounded by so many sunny faces. (Hannah selfie.)
Bumblers and bees were everywhere, the fields buzzed with life.
The flowers were so full of pollen that our shirts were covered after navigating the rows of blooms.
The flowers followed the sun like soldiers.
This experience was such a joyful way to end our visit with mom and dad!
More beautiful photos! Brightened my day :o)
Thanks for sharing this information and pictures! We only have about 20 sunflowers and you’re right! One just feels happy being around them!
So gorgeous. They are just so cheerful.
Ohhhhh….wouldn’t a sunflower pattern be fun?! Hmmm…
