Hannah and I headed up to Meddybemps today to pick up a couple of barrels to turn into rain barrels. Meddybemps. It’s such fun to say.
On the way home, we drove through the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge,
and pulled into a river overlook just in time to see this Bald Eagle land on a nesting platform. These first two photos I snapped through the car window.
Mama Eagle brought a fish to feed her baby.
Upon closer inspection – three babies.
In the blink of an eye, a second Eagle returned to the nest.
I definitely need a longer camera lens.
I am a big fan of bald eagles. So glad you got see some and appreciate how they take care of their babies.
I think the pictures are great! I’ve never been to this refuge, is the spot you are in elevated? It’s amazing how well you can see the babies and parents. They truly are regal birds, aren’t they? Jan from MA
