A lull between meetings today had me sitting on the edge of a marsh listening, watching, and snapping pictures.
Two herons scurried away as I settled in to watch. I feel it’s a gift each time I see a heron.
They’re so ungainly yet majestic at the same time.
An Egret danced in the shallows, snowy wings joyfully on display.
It was this family of Sandpipers that I found so endearing.
They played hide-and-seek in the marsh grass.
They perched and posed along the mud flats.
Dancing lightly across the shallows, they search for little morsels to eat.
Tiny little birds enjoying the marsh on a late summer afternoon.
