It’s days like this when I’m so grateful that I dragged my camera along with me during my travels. Inevitably, when I don’t have my camera, I come across the most wonderful sights.

On my drive to Cutler, Maine this morning I noticed a platform perched atop an electric pole and idly wondered if the platform was in use. On my return trip, two heads peeking out of the nest had me doing a U-turn in the middle of U.S. Route 1. I couldn’t have been more excited by this nesting pair of osprey. They, on the other hand, were not thrilled with me. While mama stuck to her nest, the male did a few fly-bys showing his agitation with my presence. I snapped a few pictures and left them in peace. Beautiful!
