We spent the morning exploring Nutkin Knoll Farm. Open to the public for Maine Maple Sunday, we wandered the trails through their sugar bush and took a look at their sugaring operation. Needless to say, it’s a little more advanced than is ours. They weren’t boiling sap today. The sugar season is usually all but over by now, but the persistently cold weather has kept the sap to build up a steady flow. Regardless, it was a beautiful day to explore and enjoy the outdoors.
