We are ever curious to see how larger farms work hoping to pick up bits of wisdom to apply to our own tiny operation. Today we spent a couple of hours with Carly DelSignore at Tide Mill Farm in Edmunds, Maine. Tide Mill produces organic foods including: vegetables, fruits and berries, meat (beef, pork, and poultry), eggs, and dairy.
Tide Mill is situated along the most beautiful coastline Maine has to offer.
We toured the main parts of the farm operation for a snapshot of what daily life is like at Tide Mill.
The piglets were definitely a highlight.
Farm babies of any variety are adorable.
The pastures are bordered by forests of fir.
Whiting Bay provides a picturesque backdrop to the entire operation.
I’m not sure Bessie here appreciates it.
Hannah reluctantly had fun on the outing.
