The European Starling is a beautiful bird with glossy black feathers and a yellow beak. It’s a challenge to create a shiny feathered bird from felt. I designed this Starling while in Pennsylvania, spending time with Dad. This means that I’m not in the retail desert that is home in Downeast Maine. Despite all the shopping options available, I could not find the iridescent felt I was searching for. So, I opted for a navy body, but it still needs a bit of bling. Possibly some shiny floss? I’ll be interested to see how you can make him “pop.” Enjoy!
