Oh, it’s my favorite time of the year! WHRL’s Winter Festival & Auction is just around the corner. I’ve felt time-poor this season leading up to the event, but I’ve got new designs and some old favorites for auction entries.
I love Charley Harper’s artwork and decided to feature his bird art in my tree this year. I’ve paired the tree with a cherry-red bird feeder, Charley Harper coaster set, mug, bookmark, and Mystery of the Missing Migrant’s puzzle.
I created a dozen ornaments using cutouts of Charley Harper prints and set them in ornament bezels with epoxy. I may have made a couple of extras for my tree.
Always present, a Joyful Owl perched on this grapevine wreath.
A woodland balsam wreath is home to a Long-eared owl. She’s my favorite owl design after the Joyful Owl.
I uncovered this never-used red teapot of Mom’s this summer. $50 later, it’s the centerpiece to a Christmas Tea gift basket with tea, cookies, a ceramic tree, candle, Crate & Barrel cups, and festive mug mats.
For children, a Bluey plushie and storybook are tucked into a balsam wreath. I have so many ideas and so little time!
Stay tuned – I’ll share Hannah’s creations in the next few days – they are so creative!

Hello there
Just love all your great work, especially the Charley Harper ornaments.
Thrilled that Bluey has made it to Maine. The show is made here in Brisbane and we are very proud of her!! Our grandchildren have grown up with the show, it is iconic Queensland
All the best to you Paul and Hannah
Your creations are lovely as always. Isn’t Charley Harper fabric great??? I use it as quilt backing often.
