This week, I’ve spent my evenings in front of the television playing with these Birds on Branches Christmas Ornaments. They are four-inch circle bird scenes. Because the birds are so small to fit in this space, I slightly simplified the designs from my bird ornaments. The Blue Jay was my demo, and I stuffed it with fiberfill. On reflection, I’d prefer it to be flat mounted on another piece of felt, like Mary’s on her Covid Christmas Tree. I think my next experiment with these designs will be with paper. More to come on that. Please drop me a note and share what you decide to do with these patterns!

I am curious if you use or recommend using something like stick n stitch to print patterns? I am a beginner embroiderer and on some birds I have been using the printer paper and tearing it off the felt after stitching. Just wondering if you have any helpful hints for me.
Thanks for the bird ornament patterns. I’ve made many of your patterns, birds and animals, as decorations to give my grandkids each year. My hope is as they grow up they can take their own “collection” to put on their own Xmas trees. I think I will use the round ornaments more as a “gift tag” to give to friends or neighbours along with a home baked gift. Thanks again.
So pretty! Thank you!
Bethany, I’ve never used the product – I print on plain old printer paper.
I love the idea of paper from magazines. Something I would not think of. One question (perhaps my ignorance): What is PCA glue? Thanks for sharing these. They are great.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talents.
A typo! It’s PVA glue- a ph neutral glue for bookbinding an paper projects.
Beautiful; thank you for sharing 🙂
