Hannah worked Saturday and ended up with today off. So, I worked a half-day and then lured her to the beach. Believe it or not, it’s our first beach chair, toes in the water beach day of the season. I think Hannah’s finding that adulting and working full-time doesn’t leave much time for our adventures. On the flip-side, working full-time means adventures to our happy place are that much more important!
As we sat and chatted, soaking up the sun, this seal bobbed up and down checking, us out.
This day reminds me of how much the beach smooths out the rough edges. We need to make more time for these shared outings.
As happy as our time on the beach was, equally thrilling were our deer sightings. We parked near the Machias River, enjoying our lunch as this Whitetail doe wandered out of the marsh grass.
Moments later, a spotted fawn followed her into the open.
The little one frolicked around without a care, mama keeping an eye out.
On our drive home, this quartet of Whitetail deer had us stopping in the middle of the road for a few photos.
An afternoon filled with happy little moments of joy.
Thank you for the post.
