The Broad-winged Hawk has been a frequent visitor to our yard all season long. This morning my work day started from home. Working from the porch, I heard the bird’s loud, high-pitched call. It took a few moments before I spotted him perched in a tree. I hustled in to find my camera and snapped a few pictures (unfortunately into the sun) before he took off in a swoosh.
This moment – one of the joys of working from home and what I didn’t miss today.
I always love to see the pictures & read the stories about them. Your patterns are beautiful and your world in Maine is breath taking. Thank you again for sharing your s and Hannah’s adventures.
Great photos! I’m lucky to be retired and get to see all that goes on here in our yard – we have so many gorgeous birds and deer and other wildlife that we’re calling it our “sanctuary”! Jan in MA
Those are some spectacular pictures! Sure doesn’t compare to the turkey vulture I saw land on the peak of my neighbors roof a couple days ago! And that’s a rare thing to see in my neighborhood.
What splendid photos!! I love seeing the wonders of our State through your camera lens!
We have turkey vultures too – I just haven’t seen them at the house yet! 🙂 And thank you.
