I finally made my first trip to the beach this year. Granted, I drive by the ocean almost every day, but this is the first day I’ve taken time for a walk with my girl.
We both needed the fresh air and the sound of the waves. Bundled as we were the cold wasn’t unbearable and we walked the entire length of the beach at Roque Bluffs.
Blue sky, snow above the high tide mark, and solitude.
As we loitered on the rocks taking in the view we both agreed that we need to get back into our routine of regular beach walks. With Hannah now working full-time, finding those tidbits of time is more challenging.
It’s not quite yet toes in the sand weather, but I can dream.
I made the first sea glass find of the season – our only piece this trip, but it’s nicely ripe.
Only 15 more days until spring. The calendar is definitely in our favor.
I’ve visited close to where you live, and it’s a beautiful part of the country. I’m in Western Canada, where the sun is shining, but the snow is still piled high. I love seeing your photos and dreaming of driving East and camping somewhere near you again sometime.
I envy you your walks on the beach! I love the sound of the waves and just being near the ocean, looking for that prize piece of sea glass, a pretty stone or shell. Unfortunately, I do not live anywhere near an ocean and Lake Michigan is a few hours away. I haven’t even been able to get there in quite a while. Hubby and I visited Maine on our honeymoon almost fifty years ago. Have been thinking about visiting again….. Thanks for all your beautiful pics!
