Here are some more ideas for creating with Downeast Thunder Farm birds and critters.
Joyful Owl Wreaths
My use of owls in wreaths began with a balsam wreath for Christmas with the Joyful Owl. She’s designed with just her head and upper body to appear as if she’s peering out of her tree hollow. Click here for the free Joyful Owl pattern or here for the Joyful Owl Kit.
Swapping out the balsam for a grapevine wreath allows for reusing the wreath each year.
I’ve also created the Joyful Owl in brown for an autumn wreath.
Then I started incorporating other owls into my projects. My Long-eared Owl is perfect for a year-round design.
Reader Submitted Wreaths
Here are some reader-submitted wreaths for inspiration.
Along with the birds and critters, Hannah created her wreaths from felt. And she has one for all seasons.
Didina wrapped a foam form with ribbon for her Snowy Owl wreath.
Sheila crafted her Downeast Thunder Farm birds out of wood and painted them for her wreath.
Claire designed this wreath on a crochet-covered hoop.
Oh, the possibilities are endless for all seasons. Check out the wreaths shared on my Instagram for a couple of ideas using a simple wood hoop or embroidery hoop.
