This week my work travels took me to Lubec. I stopped at Old Farm Point to enjoy my brown bag lunch. This is a new park that recently opened and is part of the larger Cobscook Shores park system.
A mown path leads you along the edges of a large meadow.
There’s something so inviting about meadows. The grass waving in the breeze. The spots of colors in the wildflowers. The butterflies and birds making their home there.
The park features a variety of landscapes along the trail; patches of ferns,
wooded alleys,
rocky beaches,
and ocean vistas. Fireweed is beginning to bloom provides a pop of color on this foggy afternoon.
My lunch spot where I spent some time working on my laptop – until the mosquitoes found me. It’s best to keep moving.
Something much larger than I bedded down in this meadow. You can just see a sliver of Pirates Cove in the distance.
A beautiful wander even on a foggy day.
Hi Susan,
Thanks for all the wonderful bird patterns. I love them. One question, is this newest bird a Red eyed Vireo ? Name on the pattern page says green-eyed Vireo.
Thanks, Lola
Yes! That’s what happens when I use a template from another bird to begin with. Thanks for pointing this out!
