The morning began warm and sunny as I enjoyed my coffee on the porch. I often struggle sitting still and just being. This morning was no different.

A Yellow Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly in the lilacs caught my attention, and then I was up and puttering. Still in my jammies, I dug up a spot in the yard and planted some tiger lily bulbs.

Hannah and I ventured out for a drive in search of lupine and goslings.

The lupines offered up an extra treat today. Can you see them?

We’re not the only ones out and about enjoying the day.

Cruising past one of our favorite gosling spots, we were not disappointed.

We watched from a distance as this family noodled about in the mudflats.

What was pleasantly warm at home was downright chilly out on Beals Island.
