Two hours from home, in Bradford, Maine, is a sunflower maze. I’ve wanted to visit a sunflower farm, and this sounded like a close second, so Paul and I adventured there this afternoon.
My timing wasn’t ideal as it was late in the day, and all of the sunflower faces were looking east with the sun behind them. Next time I’ll need to make a morning visit.
I wasn’t particularly interested in the maze experience – I wanted to photograph the flowers.
One maze was planted with shorter variety of sunflowers and featured children’s rhymes and stories with special spots for fun photos.
The other maze was filled with giant flowers.
Sunflowers are so striking – larger than life.
It’s hard to be sad when surrounded by these happy flowers.
