This last weekend of summer, I spent two glorious afternoons on the porch. The days are starting frosty, warming up to tolerable by mid-day. Sadly, I took down and packed away the porch screens until next Spring.
As much as I loved being able to live on the porch this summer with the screens, I appreciate the clear view.
I enjoyed a Hermit Thrush (I think) pair who spent hours in the yard.
A shy Bluejay came to visit.
While most of the flowers in the yard have faded, I’ve been enjoying this late-blooming volunteer Black-eyed Susan. I’ve habit habitually mowed around it to enjoy its beauty.
A quartet of happy deer friends came to visit.
Even Gidget lingered, seemed to enjoy these last days of summer on the porch.
