Photography with my iPhone and a clip-on macro lens is a favorite past-time. I find the close-up detail in flowers incredibly appealing.
The Coastal Maine Botanical Garden was a treasure trove of subjects.
There’s so much to see when you take a closer that you don’t see when you’re looking at the whole.
The textures make you want to touch.
The patterns are clearer.
The symbiotic nature of the relationship with insects is undeniable.
The symmetry is striking.
The colors spectacular.
Buds so soft and sweet.
Even a simple chive flower is glorious.
For me, the flower of the day was the Poppy.
They are pure art.

So beautiful. All the colors, size and shape.
Your photos are fabulous. I always enjoy them. I’ve been having some fun photographing bee butts in my garden. 🙂 I have an iPhone too. Which macro lense do you have?
I’m not sure which one I’m using at the moment – Hannah gifted me with a new one after I sent my first one through the wash. This is the first one I purchased. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAJ047O/
Thank you!
