It took us twenty-three hours of driving with a car packed to the brim and a layover at my folks to get Hannah to campus.
We spent the afternoon getting her sorted. Her room feels especially cozy this year with lots of reminders of home including her adorable whale quilt.
She’s got her very own miniature owl wreath on the wall this year and last year’s “Home” sign.
I gave her pen holder a mini makeover using Maine nautical charts of home – shades of my Navigating Maine table project.
A happy sandpiper rug to make her smile as she comes and goes.
I stayed as long as I dared getting her organized before making the first leg of my return trip home. Inevitably there are tears.
The first care package goes out tomorrow and we’re officially in the countdown to Thanksgiving!
Love and tears, it’s how we grow. Hannah’s room is faboo.
