Today is the second Monday snow day in a row.
We woke to a winter wonderland.
As ‘Noreasters go it was somewhat mellow dropping about 15″ of snow – the most we’ve had in one snowfall so far this year.
Through the woods and over the pond, the house is tucked away.
I had to venture out to feed and water the duck. A part of me hated break through the pristine snow.
By the end of the day it was clear that Gidget’s 2′ tall fence won’t do much to keep her in the yard.
The view from the kitchen. Our beach treasures seem a bit incongruous with the landscape.
I’m not sure where Gidget thought she was going to go when she darted out the door. As soon as she hit the un-shoveled snow she raced back to the house.
The snow off the steel roof has eclipsed the view out my office window.
As much as I love a good snow day, they’re just not the same without Hannah at home to share them. Count down to spring break T -11 days!
Beautiful snow.
Amazing it is already spring break for the college kids.
I remember those days. Both of my daughters went to William and Mary in Williamsburg, just three hours away.
I hope you enjoy her visit home.
Both of my daughters are moms now, with wonderful hubbies and two little daughters each. I am grateful they are so close to home, only a 30 minute drive from me.
I am also taking care of my 95 year old daddy and of course, my hubbs.
We have busy good lives. How fortunate
Enjoy your daughter’s visit home
