After a half-day of work on this day after Christmas, Hannah and I both felt the need to get out and about. With snow in the forecast for Friday we made a snap decision to hike Pigeon Hill. We didn’t get there until the sun was low in the sky, so we hiked straight up the Summit Trail. It’s been almost a year since our last foray up this rock.
A selfie from 317′ above sea level. My under-used calves feel every foot of that right now.
The late afternoon light was so pretty.
I love watching Hannah enjoy photography. She didn’t have much time for this during the semester.
The sun beginning its descent over Cadillac Mountain.
All in all, it was a smoother hike up Pigeon Hill than our last December hike – which was on snowshoe!
