Today is mom’s birthday.  What does one get Granny Gadget?  Everything she does revolves around her family and taking care of them.  She has little space for anything and she can purchase all the gadgets she wants.

That’s where my Christmas Angel comes in. Mom has always had a fondness for angels and this one was designed for her.

I’ve been sitting on this artificial lighted wreaths I picked up after Christmas last year. I decorated it with a 9-inch felt angel, bows and baubles and shipped it off to Pennsylvania with a note not to open until November 28th. At 12:12 a.m. this morning I receive a text reporting that she’d opened her birthday gifts. Too funny.

While there’s nothing better than a fresh Maine balsam wreath, I hope she’ll be able to enjoy this one each year.
