The Eastern Swallowtail Butterfly is the most common butterfly visitor to my garden. When the Asian Lilac is in bloom they flit and fly about feasting on the blooms. I’ve been known to park a chair next to the lilacs and lie in wait with my camera. Enjoy!

Susan, I just wanted to let you know how much I have been enjoying your butterflies, moths, and whales. I am teaching my granddaughter to sew. I started last summer with some basic pillows on the machine. This summer I intend to carry on with hand sewing and I have been thinking some of your whales would be wonderful for her. She is 11 and it wasn’t until last year that she showed any interest in learning to sew. I have 3 others and will show them how as soon as they show an interest, including, I hope, my grandson.
