Home from college for a few short days, Hannah and I took off on a drive this afternoon. The proud owner of a shiny new Canon, a gift from her grandmother, Hannah was eager to experiment. It was so fun to be taking photos with her rather having her simply being my chauffeur.
The river was our first stop.
In search of eagles, we spotted a number of juvenile bald eagles. Some wading in the river.
Others perched in the trees.
Hannah was getting into the groove…
and took some super in flight shots. This is one of hers.
I captured this sweet Downy Woodpecker.
We moseyed on to Sandy River Beach – a spot we haven’t been to in years.
Hannah played with her camera while I wandered the beach collecting shells. I love the way the seaweed has taken root on this shell.
From this angle it reminds me of an eagle’s claw.
And we both spent time taking picture of the other taking pictures.
Love the photos!!
